Every moment is an opportunity for you to remember the name of God. Serve the saints and eat the crumbs
left over by them.
Let the eyes be fixed on the beautiful form of God. Like the diamond, a saint is not
broken by the hammerings of the
world.
Without tears of love and gratitude
all spiritual talk is a mere
entertainment.
Alas ! a major portion of life is lost
in sleep, idleness, disease and old
age.

Sanskrit:

English:
Nothing can be found in the three worlds with which the teacher of spiritual knowledge can be compared. One might imagine that (the imparting of spiritual knowledge) can be thought of (on the pattern) in which the `Pārasa` touches iron and changes it into gold. But there being no touch, the Sadguru endows upon the disciple who surrenders unto him the same status which belongs to himself. Therefore, (it is said) unique and incomparable is the Sadguru.
